Athlete Pathways

WHAT WE OFFER

At More Than Management, we provide an experienced and guiding hand as our talent navigate through the athlete pathways of their sport. Working across Coates Talent League, Young Matildas, Australian & National Netball Championships and Underage National Cricket Championships, our aim is to build relationships with sporting talent in the early stages of their professional career and to be able to identify and provide appropriate performance, wellbeing and education support as they navigate through their final years of schooling and underage sport to ensure the transition to the professional space is a straightforward one.

Getting to know our athletes on and off the field means when the time comes to speak with professional sports clubs, we can be a good advocate for them and ensure they are in the appropriate place for them to have every chance to become successful. We pride ourselves on going above and beyond to help our talent become the best people and athletes they can be on and off the field.

MTM have been nothing but supportive ahead of the 2023 draft. Mel guides Shineah through balancing school with training and assists her in choosing what studies might assist her in her post football career. Whilst Alex and Charlie have travelled to SA, putting in extra effort to get to know our family face to face. This really highlights they are there for their players personally and ensures they have their best interests at heart.

Having not experienced the AFLW landscape, MTM provided incredible guidance and communication throughout the draft and beyond. Their support included navigating Mon’s year 12 schooling alongside her debut AFLW season at an interstate club, decisions about university pathways and connecting us with an accountant to get Mon’s off field structure right. We couldn’t be more grateful for their role so far in Montana’s AFLW career, both on and off the field.
